Shri Sriraman Jagannathan is an Independent Director on our Board. He holds a Post graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad and Bachelor of Technology degree from IIT Delhi. He has vast expertise of leadership over 35 years in consumer banking and digital financial services.

He started his career in 1989 with Citibank. He drove Visa/ Mastercard acquiring & issuance programs. He then moved to NICL South which is now part of eServe as Chief Executive Officer where he was involved in a BPO Venture between Citibank and MGF that provided him experience in Business Management. He worked in Citibank Treasury, spearheading the securitisation market in India and CEEMEA. He was the Treasurer for Citicorp Maruti Finance limited, managing balance sheet funding, ALM risk management and driving lowest cost funds for the NBFC through effective duration management and issuance of structured instruments.

In late 1999, he moved to set up the digital business for Citibank in India across consumer businesses. His team's expertise lead to India being a centre of excellence for overseas markets of Citi. He moved to Citibank Japan as the digital business head for Citifinancial and later for the retail bank. In late 2009, after 21 years at Citibank, he moved as the CEO for Airtel Money to set up and scale a mobile money business in India on the back of Airtel's 200 million customer base.

In 2014 he moved to IDFC bank as the Chief Digital & Data Officer for the newly licenced bank. In 2016, he joined as the VP Fintech for Amazon, setting up Amazon Pay's various fintech verticals. In 2018, Sriram pivoted to set up the India office for Women's World Banking, a non-profit, with a view to financially include 25 million women in India within 3 years. This led to close working with India's leading PublicSector banks to leverage the Jan Dhan portfolio, modifying the products offered by the bank, re-training the bank staff and agents to effectively communicate to and engage with women customers. In 2022, Sriram joined Delivery Hero, a Berlin listed company as the Global Head for payments wallets and cards, a role he held till March 2024.
